We have had lots of struggles and challenges in our lives, but we've had even more blessings!

HE did it again! :-)

In the top part of the picture below (THE TOP PART, please ignore the bottom part.... this was the only saved picture I could find, that clearly showed the branch I'm telling you about 8-/ ) you can see the very long, very dead branch, of one of our trees. See how it sticks out over the alley?  Look close, see how it's also sticking right over the top of those various power lines?
We had called the city about having it taken down, seeings how it's over their alley, and they claim the right to most of the area the tree is on in our yard anyways. But they said it was OUR responsibility to take care of.
So we called Consumers Energy, the phone company and the cable company (who's worker has often worked on those lines for our neighbor), seeings how the dead branch was just shy of hanging on their lines. Each and every one of them replied that it was OUR problem.
We called our home owners insurance company. IF the branch did come down and do property damage, THEN it would be covered. Otherwise.... yup, it was OUR problem.
We asked both some relatives as well as some friends about helping us take care of it. To a one, their answer was, "not when the whole tree is that dead, and the branch is so far up there and over the wires like that". Sigh.
We took a deep breath and called some tree cutting services for some quotes. A couple were not interested in taking on such a job. And the one that would... well, .... they wanted two arms and a foot for doing so. Yikes!!!

So the branch remained up there. And more and more of the tree itself is dieing.
ALL of our neighbors, all of our relatives whom had seen it, as well as most of our friends whom had seen it, were quite positive that the branch was going to come down, and in the process, create a whole lot of problems for us. Thing is, we were pretty sure they were right.
Not only were we concerned that it might take down all of the wires, what if it came down while somebody was driving under neath it?  What if the guy that walks a couple times of day, and walks like this is his physical therapy, is underneath it when it comes down? And then there is the fact that it also stuck out over where our one neighbors car is usually parked. What if that happened? Would our home insurance cover their car?  All of those 'what ifs'.

The Bible instructs us that we are not suppose to worry. 'What ifing' is worrying. We are suppose to "cast all of our burdens on Him (God), for he cares for you".
So I would take deep breaths, and pray about it. "Lord, PLEASE don't let anybody get hurt!!!!!" "Lord, what are we to do about that branch?"

Right around 6:30 yesterday morning (Tues., Nov. 30th), the Lord himself took care of it for us. We called it * "a miracle"!
While the noise of it falling and rolling off of the neighbors fence did startle me, and Boo (oh the barking that pursued!), as well as scaring the two neighbors dogs (who's yard the branch landed it) silly (they whinnied, they cried, they barked!!!), no-body and nothing got hurt!!!  Lord, you are amazing!!!
The wires are still there, and no workers showed up yesterday to work on any of them. The neighbor lady had just drove her car off to work before the branch came down. The neighbors fence is not at all bent or twisted. And the two dogs were running all over their yard yesterday, and sniffing the downed branch for all they were worth!  That folks, is * "a miracle"!

Here is a picture of what the limb that's left now looks like.

And here is one of the about  8 foot section that came down and is now laying in our neighbors yard.

About the "*" by  "a miracle".
We realize that some people both believe and teach that the Lord is no longer in the business of doing "miracles". According to them, what happened does not qualify under the Bibles teachings of what a true miracle is.
And we know that there are also some whom don't believe that things such as this are even really the hand of God at work.
But we (yes, both Brian and I) do. In both cases!
We are in total agreement with our friend "Jewels" assessment on such things: "I would much rather give God the glory and praise for things now, then to get to heaven one day and find out that it WAS His handy work, and I WAS suppose to Him the credit and praise for it!!! "

THANK - YOU  Lord, for taking care of the problem of that tree branch for us!!!!  YOU are amazing!!!
